LPGA Stars Shine at Charitable Events Ahead of 2026 Season Kickoff
With the 2026 LPGA season set to begin in less than two weeks, the tour's top players have been active in high-profile charitable events, raising millions for youth development and breast cancer research.
The focus this week was the 75th Anniversary Pro Am at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links, a celebration of the LPGA's multi-generational legacy. The event featured legends, current stars, and participants from the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program. Notable attendees included major champions like Allisen Corpuz, the 2023 U.S. Women's Open winner at Pebble Beach, alongside Nelly Korda, Michelle Wie West, Rose Zhang, Lydia Ko, Lottie Woad, and Andrea Lee.
The primary goal was to support the LPGA Foundation's ambitious "$13 million campaign to reach 'One Million MORE Girls' by 2030." The initiative aims to expand the Girls Golf program by providing equipment, increasing scholarships, and launching new sites globally. The event exceeded expectations, raising over $4.1 million. "The $4.1 million raised over these three days blew our target out of the water," said LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler.
Simultaneously, on the opposite coast, former LPGA star Morgan Pressel hosted her annual charitable event in Boca Raton, Florida, benefiting breast cancer research. With support from fellow players Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, and others, Pressel's foundation raised an impressive $1.3 million.
The dual successes highlight the LPGA community's significant philanthropic impact as it builds momentum for the upcoming competitive season.
